Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Heritage Credit Union is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to run for election to the Board, representing our more than 7,000 members.
The Board ensures the success of the credit union by developing and approving our Strategic Plan, our long-term goals, mission and vision.
If you would like to serve on the Heritage Credit Union Board of Directors, please see our Nominations Information Package. This package includes details on the responsibilities and requirements of a Board Director. Nomination forms are available at any Heritage Credit Union branch, or can be requested by email hcu@heritagecu.ca or by calling any branch.
Nomination forms will be accepted until March 1, 2022. If you have any questions, please contact Barb Tallant, Executive Assistant to the CEO at 250-365-7232 or btallant@heritagecu.ca.
Our AGM will be held virtually on April 25, 2022. Watch for further details. If an election is required, in- branch voting will be held from April 5 – April 9, 2022.
There are four director positions up for election. The current status of these director positions are as follows:

Skills and Qualifications of Board Directors
Our Board of Directors reflects our membership and community, and brings demonstrated experience and skills to ensure it can most effectively support the credit union in achieving its goals.
The Board has identified skill sets or areas of expertise that current and prospective Board Directors should possess. Please see the Nominations Information Package for details on the specific skills and experiences we are recruiting for in 2022.
The Nominations Committee of the Board of Directors will review all completed nomination applications, evaluating to ensure nominees meet the basic requirements and determining which candidates best meet the credit union’s needs.
